Performance Touring Rules : These are the latest rules on the NASA site. You are required to know them and the NASA Club Codes and Requlations. You should also read and be familiar with the NASA Forums Performance Touring section. Important updates to the rules and clarifications may be listed there.

Performance Touring Car Classification Form

The Online Car Classifier (including Provisional Classifications) can be found here. The Classer is temporarily Off-line. It will be updated for the '10 Rules as soon as possible. Contact your Regional PT Director or e-mail the National PT Director greg@nasa-tt.com for assistance if necessary.

Rules Updates

The most recent release of the 2010 PT rules was v.5.1 on 11-20-09. The following are technical bulletins or rules clarifications that are to be considered as official rules:

All Vehicles--Strut tower top modification for simple camber/caster adjustment:

No-Points Modifications
10) Simple camber, caster, and toe adjustment by any method that does not alter
suspension mounting points (unless the modification used is otherwise assessed
points above--
such as control arm, ball joint, and relocated mounting point
modifications). Slotting of the OEM bolt holes and removal of material from the top
surface of the OEM strut/shock tower to the extent necessary to allow simple
camber/caster adjustment is permitted.
Bolt on camber/caster plates are not
assessed points.

All Vehicles--Spindle/Knuckle modification or replacement for hub size change:


No-Points Modifications
8) Wheels, wheel studs, wheel bearings replacement/upgrade, hub modification/
replacement, axle modification or replacement (unless otherwise assessed points
above). Spindles/Steering Knuckles may be modified or replaced as a No-Points
modification to allow for hub size change provided that there are no changes in
suspension geometry or mounting point locations (such as tie rod connection height,
ball joint connection location/height, etc.)
